Amazing book for all your woolie pleasure. Loads of patterns, great pictures and tons of amazing info.There is an obscure fly developed an obscure guy for an obscure river on the east coast. I've been trying to track it down because there is an underground (underwater?) movement here on the west coast to use this fly to catch just about every kind of fish except stugeon. But no one who has the pattern will share with anyone who doesn't. I took a chance on this book and it paid off! It had the pattern.If you want it, buy the book. good luck on finding it among the hundreds of patterns in the book.OK, I'll give you a hint: Read Chaucer.Remains the definitive book on tying these.A very good book if you use this type of fly. It has limited trying instructions but does have the recipes for all of the flies. There are color photos of each fly and some have comments as to where they have been used and how well they have worked. Most Woolly Buggers are easy to tie so most of these are easy to figure out. A good book to add to you collection.I purchased this Wooly Wisdom book about how to tie and fish Wooly Worms for fishing as a gift. The book is colorfully illustrated and covers the whole range of flys and how to tie various flys for fishing.Everyone uses them in some way or another. This book doesn't break new ground, but it does consolidate the experiences of years fishing into one handy reference. The book can be used to validate what you're doing or not doing. It will also show some new wrinkles about tying and fishing methods.Wolly Wisdom is a great book that will educate you on the many veriations of the great fly we call the wooly bugger. This book will not only show how to tie this fly but will show the many ways to fish this very effective pattern. A great read!Perfect with booties!
